Plan is a children’s organization with primary concerns on children right, safety and well-being and has in its interest to create safe environments for children with more attention paid to child protection. All employees are therefore expected to comply with our child protection policy.

Within the framework of the Baka Right and Dignity (BRD) Project, which is aimed that introducing Baka language and culture into primary schooling in a bid to improve children’s access to education as well as improve the quality of teaching and learning. Plan Cameroon is looking for potential Cameroonian candidates for one (1) year renewable contract to fulfil the following positions;

Title: (02) Program Facilitator 

Duty station: Bertoua

Main duties and responsibilities

Under the authority of the project coordinator, the program facilitator will among many other tasks perform the following

• mobilize community for all project activities
• asses, track and report communities progress in the development of action plans, school improvement plan and council development plan
• assist councils in requesting for the creation of schools in Baka communities
• provide technical support to partner’s communities, councils and CSO in development of self-help initiatives
• roll out child protection policy and gender mainstreaming in his/her work area
• Maintain high profile collaboration with local authorities and update them on quarterly basis progress on project activities.

Qualification and experience

• degree in social science, international relation with focus on human right
• at least 2 years of experience on advocacy and resource mobilization
• familiarity with the principles and current approaches to advocacy and resource mobilization in development project
• Mastery of baka local language and the community is an additional advantage

• Working experience in community participation in development/programming

• Ability to deliver to tight deadlines
• Demonstrated facilitation and active listening skills
