Within the context of Emergency Response to Refugees from Nigeria Plan Cameroon is urgently seeking to recruit experienced, enthusiastic, humanitarian-oriented and hardworking Cameroonian for six months duration to fulfill the positions below.

While funding is only guaranteed for 6 months at the point of advertising, Plan is seeking longer-term funding and the operation in the Far North Regions will be operating for much longer than 6 months.

Title: (1) procurement officer

Duty station: Maroua

Main duties and responsibilities

Under the supervision of the emergency response Coordinator the procurement officer will among many other tasks perform the following tasks:

• Ensure a proper procurement and storage of NFIs
• Procurement order and follow up; regularly share orders status updates
• Coordinate cross-functional research activities to reconcile significant variances
• Support the negotiation of contractual arrangement
• Monitor suppliers KPIs indicators
• Ensure proper warehouse/store documentation is prepared and issuance procedures followed in the warehouse/store
• Coordinate loading and offloading ensuring optimum utilization of storage space and prompt/smooth daily warehouse operation and recommend actions for improvement.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Technical qualification or university degree in business administration, statistics, economics, logistics, transport, shipping, law or other field relevant to the management of warehouse and commodities flow 
• At least 3 years related experience
• Good knowledge and  experience in using computer software applications (MS Word and Excel)
• Possess basic knowledge of plan’s policies and procedures
• Demonstrate good knowledge of information technology
• Experience of working in zones were security issues is a concern
